Our son is starting school this September and we are constantly trying to find ways to improve his recollection of words and sounds. Bought the interactive Human Body Works and Solar System to go with it and, again, they are really good.

If LeapReader is connected to LeapFrog Connect, disconnect LeapReader from LeapFrog Connect by pushing the “Eject” button and disconnecting it from your USB cable. At 3 1/2 he was able to use the audiobook function in the car on long journeys and with a bit of guidance quickly learned to touch the pictures of his favourite characters (Disney Pixar Cars book) to hear the sounds.The entire LeapReader library includes more than 150 titles for children at different stages of the learn-to-read journey, so there’s always more content to keep them engaged and learning!

The Tag pen device works with specially made books which include an optical pattern of dots too small to disturb the reader. Not only concentrating on the words but the interactive nature of every part of the books, the pictures, activities, songs and games included on every page meant that although he could not read the word he was able to keep his interest throughout the books.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.just wondering we just got it for my daughter and I was wondering when she is ready to move up on it.

We really like this product and would only think that a carry bag and a little off the RRP would make it better. This portable system works with deluxe activity sets (sold separately) that feature fold out pages, interactive charts and stickers. Others say it' is not straight forward to use, they're struggling with the software that goes along with the LeapReader, and it''s too fussy for little learners. His letter and number formation is a bit sloppy still so I am using the writing books with Mr Pencil to help him improve.
