About this deal

I enjoyed the various parables that he's learned from his along the way, they illustrated how our lives aren't so different and we face many of the same problems. He grew up in Sweden, studied economics (without questioning whether it was what he really wanted to do), started to forge a very successful career (without questioning whether it was what he really wanted to do). He always expresses his point of view, and that counts positively in a world infested by insubstantial speeches.

Plain and simple, it's about how to relate to your own thoughts and emotions in a way that makes your life more enjoyable, more free, brighter, clearer, and wiser. Written as though he is performing one of his teachings, Lindeblad’s I May Be Wrong is his only book. Though he addresses weighty issues with a light touch and prefers to stir people to think by making them laugh, there’s nothing Charles Barkley shies away from here—not race, not class, not big money, not scandal, not politics, not personalities, nothing. Overall this book is an easy read which provides an interesting insight into the mind of the ex-player and current pundit. He talks about the challenges and benefits of meditation, and gave some insight that helped me understand meditation better.

But there are also bits that are timeless, insightful, and still fascinating despite the passage of time.

A fool is certain of everything and the wisest man knows how little he knows - and knows he might be wrong, something the fool doesn’t worry about when he probably is. Please include what you were doing when this page came up and the Cloudflare Ray ID found at the bottom of this page. The term applies though because, as I understand it (and I may be wrong) the term forest monastery refers to a concept / ideology / tradition / denomination / family as much as it does to the location of the building. He says this is because you either have to be good enough to start or you aren’t really making the team. Infusing the everyday with heart, grace and gentle humour, this is a book to help us all navigate the realities of modern life. Disappointment that 9/11 didn't have a sustained impact on peoples kindness to one another - a permanence, to be better and more respectful of each other.
