What's difficult though, is answering the question "Is being rich, in monetary terms, what you really want? I was really excited by this book, because already in first few pages Felix was telling me that in this book we will discover HOW TO GET RICH. You can skip the poetry if that is not your thing (it certainly is Dennis' thing in self-indulgent mode but, hey, when you are worth the millions he is, who does he have to please? We will be touching on some of the circumstances described above shortly, but, in a nutshell, my experience has been that money is colour-blind, race-blind, sex-blind, degree-blind and couldn't care less who brought you up or in what circumstances.

This book is the strangest mixture of poetry, ego, wine, sex (barely mentioned with numbers), money and business that I read. First let me declare an interest, I worked for the man, not in the early pioneering years but in the middle years, when he had already amassed considerable wealth. The nuances of each individual case need not concern us, but the difficulties, as stated by virtually every wannabe I ever listened to on the subject, usually fall into one of three broad categories - often age related. Some of it is practical - such as how he handled the 4 employees who politely threatened to leave his firm and start a competing company if he didn't give them a quarter of his equity, or the rules he requires all board members to adhere to.It isn’t going to change anytime soon… You cannot banish fear, but you can face it down, stomp on it, crush it, bury it, padlock it into the deepest recesses of your heart and soul and leave it there to rot. Dennis' book will, if read with attention, do a great deal to point out all those mistakes that a live wire will make (and will probably make anyway because entrepreneurs tend not to listen to their Dads) long before they have to be made.

In terms of actionable advice on wealth creation, these are right up there with Naval Ravikant’s must-read How To Get Rich tweetstorm, along with his accompanying podcast episodes. As an owner, or an owner in training, you must always be alert for the telltale signs that here is a candidate for promotion and delegation.Whatever your inclinations, your aptitude, your abilities or your preferences, never shrink when opportunities arrive.
