Thank you Hazel for gathering so many stats and facts/figures which I appreciate are difficult to find for women. The project, which started as a blog which has extended to various social media platforms, books and a podcast, been hugely successful and allows her to focus on connecting directly with her followers.

That said, for a visual learner like myself I appreciated the translation of data/cycles etc in visual (and aesthetic!However a great read to ease in and start a journey of learning about female conditions and nutrition. Women can also suffer from unique gynecological issues such as; premenstrual syndrome (PMS), endometriosis, and polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) - all which can be influenced by nutrition. There is a large section roughly two thirds of the way through dedicated to recipes yes, but I also think they complement her points perfectly. I’ve learned so much about the female body and know for a fact I’ll be coming back to this book time and time again throughout different periods of my life. To give you the most cutting-edge, innovative ways to track your performance, science is at the core of everything we do.

She has continued to be a no-nonsense source of information on an incredibly wide variety of health and well-being topics. A large proportion of the book is just recipes which I think could have been subbed for more information related to women’s health.She then got a position in London’s University Hospital and was working there when the pandemic started. Given that the author states she has PCOS I was hoping for more than a very basic overview of what it was.
