About this deal

Unfortunately, image quality is the worst upscaling I ever seen - blurry and even with some ghostly effects. Convention Footage: A rare chance to hear from actors Jacqueline Hill and Adrienne Hill ( Katarina) alongside Michael Craze ( Ben) and Carole Ann Ford.

The Planet Of Giants has the addition of the four part story as it may have been shown if some footage hadn't been lost and an executive decision was made to turn it into a three part story. BEHIND THE SOFA: Seven new episodes with Peter Davison, Colin Baker (The Doctor), Sylvester McCoy (The Doctor), Sarah Sutton, Janet Fielding, Mark Strickson, Katy Maning (Jo) and Sophie Aldred (Ace). A less-morose David Tennant takes the reins with charm and confidence as the Doctor, and continues the new era. Episode 3 and 4 Reconstructions - The final two episodes of Planet of Giants were edited into a single episode for transmission. Brand new restoration of the original 1983 anniversary special, with Hd film material, optional 2023 special effects, new 5.

There are galleries and… well, reconstructions of the second and fourth episodes of the story which have been lost. Of course, Carole Ann Ford leaving the show upset Hartnell almost as much as Susan leaving her grandfather did, but Ford felt there wasn’t the type of character development she hoped for with Susan, and she was right.

Vicki will often give as good as she gets, isn’t a screamer, and doesn’t seem to twist her ankle on a regular basis. There is however a clever reconstruction of the 12 missing seconds from the final episode of The Time Meddler. Seasons 12, 19 and 18 were originally released with card slipcases, however no slipcase was included with the release of season 10 onward, and reissues of seasons 12, 19 and 18 also did not include slipcases.

My player, a LG BD610, plays PAL and NTSC system videos just fine on whatever North American TV I use.

Personnellement je garde mon exemplaire parce que ce n'est pas trop grave, mais pour d'éventuelles personnes qui veulent collectionner, n'hésitez pas à renvoyer ! Using the longer-length Christmas Special to give viewers a chance to get used to a new face and mannerisms works well, and is followed by a solid season of episodes, leading to a finale where the Doctor faces not one, but two of his most dangerous old enemies. The central cast changes so much over the nine stories but things were also moving behind the scenes with Dennis Spooner joining for instance.

Thanks to: The National Maritime Museum, Rob Semenoff; Camera: Steve Broster; Colourist: Jonathan Wood; Executive Producer: Dan Hall; Producer: Stella Broster. Opening the set, PLANET OF GIANTS with its INCREDIBLE SHRINKING MAN influence still manages to delight and impress with its over-sized sets and gargantuan fauna.

Yes, some of the effects and design work shows the low budget and yes, there is a kitsch absurdity in grown men and women dressed as ants, moths and woodlice.

Season 2 is the biggest release yet – a limited edition nine disc box set from the early years of the programme, which sees William Hartnell’s First Doctor take centre-stage. Contrast that with facing the realities of being kidnapped and sold into slavery within the same episode! The discs have little chance of getting damaged, unlike some of the case sets I have bought recently. But it was so enjoyable to experience the downtime and interpersonal relationships of the TARDIS crew.
