I knew about vaginismus before, but I had no idea vaginal dilators were a thing, so I learned something new.

My mum has expressed to me her regrets for the way she parented me throughout the earlier stages of my life and though we have all grown and evolved, sometimes, unfortunately, those chages take place too late. Monique, a Preacher’s daughter and girlfriend to the town’s golden boy seems to have the perfect life. I can honestly say I’ve never read such a sex positive and inclusive YA fiction book before, and this was so pleasantly surprising. After surviving a suicide attempt, a fragile teen isn't sure she can endure without cutting herself.

The Romance was lovely to watch blossom, sometimes the person who you least expect, to be the most supportive, turns out to be the rock you never knew you needed! However, because they’re in love and will eventually get married, Monique figures there’s no need to wait. The flow was excellent from beginning to end and thought the arc of Monique, her parents, her friends, were well done. But after two years together and secretly trying dozens of times, unsuccessfully, to have intercourse, Dom ends the relationship. This is also the first YA book I've read that tackles "vagina problems" in the first place, so it makes me especially sad that I didn't like it more.Applicability of cancellation rights: Legal rights of cancellation under the Distance Selling Regulations available for UK or EU consumers do not apply to certain products and services. The book managed to be light and fun, while also taking on some heavier and serious topics but the two were balanced really well.

I love the ways in which she went into this serious subject matter, and also managed to bring it all together with her endearing cast of characters and adorable romance.
