About this deal

First a band of gnomes launch an attack – thwarted by our hero young Knight Sir Louis – then a handsome squire arrives with news of more trouble: apparently the Wild Forest Ogres of Tumblin Klatterbang are also on their way and planning an attack. It was such a pleasure to meet you both, and I really appreciated how smoothly and professionally you ran everything.

Knight Sir Louis and the Sorcerer of Slime is the third in this wild and wacky (but very funny) series from The Brothers McLeod. Louis rides off to the legendary Brrrrrland with his friends Catalogue and Clunkalot, but waiting for them are goofy goblins, a talking carrot and the biggest meanest snowball in the whole wide world. They have produced animation for Disney, the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Science Museum (London), the BBC and Aardman Animation. And his mission isn't made any easier with the tricksy jester Merry-Jingles trying to steal his thunder.

Louis learns that perhaps the only hope of stopping the fiendish foe is a long-lost, ancient Thingamabob – a talisman with watery powers. He has been published in Emma Press collections "Dragons of the Prime: Poems about Dinosaurs" and "The Bee is Not Afraid of Me". It’s a fantastic independent book seller that will actually be responsive and select appropriate books for you.

Beautifully illustrated fantasy adventure, brimming with ludicrous magic and fizzing with irresistible comedy. I can’t imagine many other childrens’ books come with recommedations from comedian Stewart Lee, i think on that basis alone parents can be assured a good read! Knight Sir Louis finds himself dealing with strong enchantments and powerful magic (as well as potatoes…) and the machinations of his soon to be arch-enemy-nemesis: the Stripy Knight.

The fearsome and sneaky dragon is a match for any gallant knight, but will Sir Louis be up to the challenge? Bronnie is so lovely with the boys and we also felt that having a man enthusing about the books set a great example.

Created by The Brothers McLeod, Greg a BAFTA nominated character designer, illustrator and animation director and Myles who has written hundreds of sciprts for TV extensively writing for Children’s television including Octonauts and Hey Duggee.
