About this deal

In 'Dear Self', Ruby talks about heartache, loneliness and relationships and takes it even further by diving into fear, insecurities, strength, commitments, the power of pain, what self-love/self-worth mean and self-discovery in light of one's healing journey. I know you wish you could make time move faster so you don't have to feel how you feel right now but hold steady. I'm sorry it took me so long to learn how to fathom and praise all that you were, all that you are, and all that you will be. She has also performed at several open mic nights, charity events, schools, the Trafalgar Square and The British Museum, to name a few. In the moments when it feels like the darkness is closing in, I hope you remember the beauty of your light.

Dear Self" is a poignant collection that skillfully uncovers the essence of love, loss, grief, and hope. By embracing my daily vulnerabilities and strengths I feel like I get the opportunity to accept who I am in this moment and make choices about who I will become in the next moment. This is the most interactive and authentic book Ruby has written so far, with the anticipation that the words within this book will encourage readers to mend their hearts, understand themselves better, engage in self-care and love themselves and those around them without insecurities. I know you are struggling right now to see where this path you’re on will lead, but don’t worry, God has everything figured out. All these, as you describe so beautifully, all these micro-moments of joy, they are something i am taking notice of now.

While "Dear Self" is a self-help book, the ideas presented are the characters that truly come alive. This book is a physical manifestation of everything that I needed to hear and feelings I couldn't quite translate to words. Little did I know, my right breast had escaped the clutches of my bikini top; it must have popped out when I dove into the cool lake.

With the first month almost under our belt, chances are 50 percent of you have already fallen off the wagon. Sometimes they are quite mundane, other times heart breaking, dark, funny, poignant, joyful…if you are just reading for the first time I recommend you have a quick read across a handful, just to get a sense of this diversity. It was quite similar to Dear Self only I saw it as a bit of a user guide for all of us trying to “human” well. There were definitely parts of this book that I can't currently relate to, but most of it hit REAL close to home, and I have already shared it with several friends.
