The action doesn't get much farther from Trenton than the Jersey Shore, but when Steph's apartment and car are blown up by the others on Maxine's trail and she moves in with Joe Morelli, the handsome, arrogant cop she's been hung up on since high school, it gets hotter than the craps table in Atlantic City. I swear they're like an amazing Netflix show, just that instead of episode after episode, I'm binging book sequels. But, for my money, this entry in the Stephanie Plum series didn't quite tickle my funny bone in the same way as the previous three novels. Similarly, the motor component of the FOUR score can detect signs of severe cerebral dysfunction, such as myoclonic status epilepticus. And Stephanie’s Grandma Mazur, sidekick, Lula, and a six-foot-tall transvestite rock musician want to take Stephanie to Atlantic City.

Similarly, every 1-point increase in the total FOUR score was associated with an 18% reduction in the odds of a poor neurologic outcome, as defined by a Rankin score of 3 to 6. When Stephanie finds nothing on Kuntz's side of the duplex, she goes into the other half, hoping his aunt might have left some clue out where she can find it in regards to Kuntz's disappearance.Working for her bail bondsman cousin Vinnie, Stephanie is hot on the trail of revenge-seeking waitress Maxine Nowicki, whose crimes include bail jumping, theft, and extortion. Along the way she interviews Maxine's mother and her friend Margie, learning that someone else has been visiting them and demanding Maxine's whereabouts, going so far as to scalp Mrs. I do like the way the cast of supporting characters is growing with each book and each of them brings something new to the party.

Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum is assigned t bring in Maxine Nowicki who is charged with stealing her boyfriends car and becomes targeted by a crazed fire bomber as well as a counterfeit ring. Stephanie then goes to visit Maxine's mother and finds an unpleasant alcoholic who is belligerent and unwilling to help. Now, just when you think this is a fairly straightforward case, Nowicki’s boyfriend, Eddie, offers Stephanie money to help find Maxine.

The colourful characters and a heroin that isn't always immaculate and well behaved really appeals to me. CIA assassin Fortune Redding is about to undertake her most difficult mission ever - in Sinful, Louisiana. Looking for help cracking the codes from her neighbors, one of them steers her to a nephew, Salvatore Sweet, who has a knack for such things.
