The screen is definitely user friendly, though I’m not sure if it is actually any easier than the original Air. The Air MAX stands slightly taller and weighs heavier—not to the degree that it impacts portability, but enough to give the vape a heftier feel in the hand. Don’t forget to pick up an extra Arizer Solo 2 glass aroma tube if you do get one though; the glass might be high quality but that doesn’t mean it’s shatter proof. I definitely recommend the Arizer Air if you want a good portable vaporizer for mostly home use with the ability to add some attachments. With the Arizer Air 2 you’re also able to swap out the battery so you can keep vaping, but it’s the pass-through charging capabilities that really gives it the edge.

The Arizer Air has some big improvements over the Solo as far as size and the battery system, but the vapor quality and design are almost identical. This also means that Arizer Air 2 users who upgrade to the Air Max won’t be able to use all of their stems interchangeably, something worth considering if you were looking to upgrade. The Solo 2 wins this round of Air 2 vs Solo 2, even though the Air’s vapor quality was close enough to beat Solo 2 in this round due to its glass aroma tube. This Frosted Glass Aroma Adapter fits most of the Arizer Tech's portable vaporizers and is used to attach a water tool.

This makes the two-button countdown startup a lot easier, and a lot more intuitive than it is on the Arizer Air 2. The Air 2 takes a good while to heat up, about over a minute- and that’s definitely much longer than a good number of dry herb vaporizers.

Just don't pack it too tight and leave a couple millimeters of space between the herb and the bottom of the oven. Conduction heating means the heat source is in direct contact with your vaping material, meaning they heat up very fast. I just would have liked to see more as well, like even faster heat up times and a more noticeable change to draw restriction.

If I turn it back on after the auto shut off, even if it's not right away, I have to put the temp up 1° or else it does not heat up.You can expect to get around 60 minutes of continuous use from the Air 2, which is enough for about six rounds of vaping.
