About this deal

NO SNOOPING ALLOWED!!! ) Dork Diaries: Birthday Drama, by Rachel Renée Russell with Nikki Russell and Erin Russell. Simon and Schuster. When her mum says it’s too expensive, soon it’s looking like Nikki’s dream party will be a total dorky disaster – cringe! Can Nikki and her BFFs come up with a plan to save the day, or will there be major birthday drama?! With a HUGE global fanbase, Dork Diaries is the perfect series for fans of Lottie Brooks, Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Tom Gates.

Washington, Arlene (February 6, 2015). "2015 Image Winners". The Hollywood Reporter . Retrieved June 22, 2020.There’s no character development and “SQUEEE 😃!!”, which was kinda cute for the first few books, is really annoying me now. I understand that catchphrases can be important in the continuity of a series but I would have liked to have seen some new ones added to the ones that have been used for 13 books now. I’m also over Nikki throwing up in her mouth a little; she did it four times in this book alone. This book was a pretty good! It was a little overdramatic in some parts though. I think the title fits the book well! It says "Tales from a Not-So-Popular Party Girl," and it is about a girl named Nikki, who is unpopular, setting up a Halloween party for her school. She must make a dance for the students in her school. I think this book title suits the book well also, because "Dork Diaries" is a good name for a unpopular girl writing a diary. If I had to be one of the characters in this book it would be Brianna, Nikki's little sister. Her sister and her make squirt guns to kill the tooth fairy, because Brianna is afraid of the tooth fairy. It sounds like Brianna is a funny little squirt too! She annoys her sister sometimes, but it's funny. She is a fun character in this book. Written in a diary format with illustrations throughout, these books are filled with high drama and take a humorous look at the complexities of teen life. I loved this series first books. Books 1-6 are all amazing. 7, 8 and 9 are also really worth the read. But something just happened around book 10. It's like if Barbie were in book form, she'd be books 10-13. At least that's the vibe I get. Maybe I'm just getting too old for these books (I'm in my last year of junior high). The problem is I have no idea what happened with this series. The earlier books are so good and they slowly became...this. I enjoyed it well enough, but it's like 'problem. problem solved. problem. problem solved. problem. oh, wait that wasn't a problem at all!' repeat cycle. This book was confusing, slightly weird and the story isn't whole. I sound like I'm just saying," The old Dork Diaries were better!" and theywere in my opinion. But if this is the way Rachel Renee Russell wants her books to go, I'll stop ranting. Her books, her choice. I think she's changed the books' target demographic to much younger and I don't have a problem with that. If I can't enjoy these books anymore, that's my headache.

Over 5 million copies of the Dork Diaries books are in print in the United States, and publishing rights have been sold in 42 countries with translations into 38 different languages. [2] Books [ edit ] # With a HUGE global fanbase, Dork Diaries is the perfect series for fans of Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Tom Gates and Jacqueline Wilson. OMG! Nikki's birthday party is going to be beyond awesome! Her BFFs are planning a SUPERcool pool party, with a cake, a DJ, and the perfect invitations. Organizing a big party for one hundred people is easy, right? UMMM wrong! Everything is SO unbelievably PERFECT, I need to pinch myself to make sure I’m not dreaming. OUCH!! That hurt! (I just pinched myself!)Setting…. The setting of this book is in a lot of places. One place is Nikki’s school. A few other places are Nikki’s house and the zoo. The zoo is wear she had to go to the dance at dressed in a rat costume. This spin-off series focuses on Maxwell "Max" Crumbly, the character introduced in Tales from a Not-So-Perfect Pet Sitter and, also written in diary format, his life in middle school. Unfortunately, Chloe and Zoey are going to be SUPERdisappointed when I break the bad news that I’ve changed my mind. That scary dream has me worried that if even the TINIEST thing goes wrong, my birthday could turn into a complete DISASTER.
