About this deal

I’ve only used it a short while, but the rigid alloy RAM arm does greatly reduce the blurring of the round mirror, and the mirror’s greater width is an improvement too. She did have double take mirrors on her CRF300 until it fell over in the wind outside a customs office and the double take mirror plastic snapped off where it attaches to the RAM style ball joint. I found the original round mirror (2013 review) did what it was supposed to except blur at speed on at least four different bikes.

The new 'Adventure' design uses a wider mirror for better rearward vision, and features a shorter ball connection and corresponding longer RAM arm for better stability at speed and on continuous rough terrain. PLEASE NOTE: This is a universal fit kit and model specific and your bike or ATV may require adaptors to mount this kit. As used by Team Races to Places in the Africa ECO Race and by Lyndon on the Dakar Rally and Races to Places. We also use different external services like Google Webfonts, Google Maps and external Video providers. Includes one Trail Mirror, heavy-duty Panduit Cable Ties, and rubber shrink wrap to help keep the mirror in position.

Recommended for applications where mirror will be most often folded (Dual Sport and Trail applications). I'm sure it is possible to break the mirror, but I haven't succeeded yet and I've tried pretty hard, going so far as to race an enduro with the mirror in place. After putting a set of Doubletake Mirrors through a rigorous test, I’m now a believer: they are the only mirrors I’ll ever need. One of the irritations I've noticed with the bike is that the mirrors tend to unscrew themselves over time. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. If you are looking for a low profile way to keep track of people off-road, the trail mirror is for you. I’ve been using the original round Double Take mirrors for the last few years on various bikes, usually as a back-up mirror alongside an original mirror on the other side of the bars. Depending on what type of mirrors you bike has, I’d say having at least one Double Take for a long journey (plus the mounts to swap sides) makes sense.

I suppose any regular bike mirror is nickable without tools, but it’s the RAM bits that people will want, not a poxy Yamaha mirror.Visibility is better than I expected, mirror itself is well made down side is that it's held on with a ziptie. Convex lens- we used SAE spec convex glass that provides a nicer field of view than a flat piece would, while retaining the ability to focus on details.

On most bikes, you can fold it perfectly along the handlebars, out of the way of any conceivable crash, and without blocking the view of the speedometer or GPS. We can introduce you to a limited number of carefully selected lenders and their finance products, which may have different interest rates and charges. There is just something about being on that rubber Ram ball that dampens vibration and makes for a clearer view. With regular glass embedded in a tough nylon shell, Double Take pitch themselves as ‘the only mirror you’ll ever need’, one that’s ‘virtually indestructible’. We carefully select products that we have tried and tested ourselves and found them to be essential to our wider riding community. There's a point where you just want a nice set of mirrors that can be moved when you need to, that you can actually see out of when you are riding.
