The last mission of the base game has an original ending, non-canonical to both the anime and manga. Attack on Titan 2 could easily have been a remaster of the first Attack on Titan, since most of the content is the same as the original title. Something I've seen lot on some sites is that there isn't a lot new about this entry and that's just not true. If you’ve ever heard about the series and wanted to see what all the fuss was about, it’s hard to imagine a better entry point, while series veterans should love that it’s got style and action to spare.

In an interview with Polygon, producer Hisashi Koinuma and Omega Force CEO Hideo Suzuki mentioned that a key focus was on making the AI more intelligent, as well as making the game more difficult in comparison to the first title.T. 2: Final Battle' contains the latest content for the tactical hunting action series based on the hit anime series 'Attack on Titan. Initially the English voice cast were going to record dialogue but this was not realised due to time constraints, very much like the first game. Try your hand in operating the omni-directional mobility gear, maneuvering and flying through the sky to counter the Titans, and feel the thrill and satisfaction of battling giant opponents. The DLC "Final Battle" covers chapters 51 to 90 of the manga (also covered by the third season of the anime).

In my opinion, they should have waited the third season before releasing AoT 2, so more content would be available.
