About this deal

Minecraft itself is a highly popular video game, first published by Swedish game developer Markus Persson through his company, Mojang in 2011, and subsequently bought over by Microsoft later on. Since its release, Minecraft has been played by people from all around the world just like Uno, and now we get to play the Minecraft version of Uno! The round is over when someone discards all their cards. Take note, if that last card played is a Draw Two or Draw Four, the next player must still draw those cards even though the game has ended.

When you take TNT, you use it right away to get to take two other top cards, and discard the other two top cards. If you uncover a creeper (or several creepers) while taking/using TNT, finish the TNT action BEFORE everyone discards a resource card for each creeper. To illustrate this point I want to talk about the TNT cards. Basically whenever you have the opportunity to take a TNT card you should. There is basically no downside to taking one as any possible punishment will be shared with the other players as well. Taking a TNT card basically acts like getting a free turn as you will get to take two Resource Cards instead of one. In some cases taking the TNT card will give you all of the resources that you need to craft a card. If the TNT cards are spread out among the players this isn’t a huge issue, but if one player gets more than the other players they will have essentially gotten more turns than the other players. This will give players a huge advantage in the game. A player may perform two actions during their turn, even if they are the same action. Play proceeds to the next player once the other player has completed their actions. There are three types of actions a player can perform: Uno Minecraft has 112 cards in total, which is a bit more than the usual. 2-10 players may take part in the game. The goal of the game is to discard all your cards before the other players do, and to accumulate a score of 500 points (or a number that everyone is ok with). Wild cards have a number allocated to them as well. So, for example, a wild two-card can be used as two of any resource. However, the resources can’t be split, so they cannot be used as one stone and one diamond.

The complete setup of the Minecraft Card Game, complete with card holders and an instruction booklet. You can take two actions; you can even mine, craft, or reserve. You can do these actions in any combination you like, including making the same move twice! Please think carefully before acting because once you do it, it can’t be undone. Mine This brings me to those that aren’t fans of Minecraft. As a fan of Minecraft myself, I can only guess how a non-fan would feel about the game. Clearly a fan of the video game will get quite a bit more out of the game than someone who only has a general idea of the game. Familiarity with the video game will certainly help, but I don’t know if it is totally necessary to enjoy the game. Those not familiar with the video game may take a little longer to understand the concept. It doesn’t help that two of the resource types look pretty similar for those who aren’t familiar with the game. The game is simple enough and the gameplay is fun enough on its own that I still think you could get some enjoyment out of the Minecraft Card Game? even if you don’t have much interest in the video game. Each craft card has a point value, which is used by the player for adding points. The tool associated with the craft card can also be used by the player during the game (see this section for more info).

Zatu has an excellent range of games and for most of them the best prices too. Delivery is always fast and I have never received a game in bad condition. 10/10 would recommend. Each tool you have crafted has a special power. You may use these powers at any time during the game and using a tool does NOT count as an action. If you’re only interested in receiving the newest games this is the box for you; guaranteeing only the latest games! Buy New Releases Box »If you want to craft something, you first will need enough resources to do so, and this can be seen by looking at the craft cards. So, to craft something, choose the craft card you want and trade in the required number of resource cards. If you choose to mine a Resource Card as an action, take 1 resource card from the top of one of the five Resource Card Piles and place it in front of you. For the TNT or Creeper cards, you take different steps (more on that later). I wouldn’t consider the game to be filled with a lot of strategy, but there are some decisions to make in the game. Most of the decisions revolve around how much risk you want to take. The Craft Cards basically boil down to low value cards that are easy to complete, and harder cards that require more or rarer cards to complete. On top of this players need to analyze what cards they think the other players will be going after on their next turn. For example the Reserve action doesn’t really get you closer to winning the game, but you may have to use it if you think another player will steal the Craft Card that you have been acquiring cards for. Between choosing which cards to take/pursue and how much risk you decide to take, your decisions will have an impact on what ultimately happens. The craft cards are the tools you can build in the Minecraft card game. Each tool is worth a set number of points, and they have one-time-use special abilities that can help give you an advantage during gameplay. Special Cards Second, you have the TNT card; this explosive card must be used straight away if it’s mined. When used, you must remove the four cards from the other resource piles. You can keep two of the cards and must discard the others.

This player has chosen to take the Wild card as one of their actions. By taking the card a new Resource Card has become available for players to choose.

End of the Game

Minecraft is a game of resource management, and there are many different materials in play. Wood, stone, iron, gold, and diamond are all included, and some are rarer than others. Players need to gather resources to build tools and earn points. Craft Cards/ Tools

That is not to say that the Minecraft Card Game? is a strategy filled game. Instead it feels like your typical card game with a few more mechanics added in to add a little more strategy. In a lot of ways the game is similar to a lot of simple card games. Your decisions on any given turn are usually pretty obvious. Therefore you can play the game without putting a ton of thought into every individual decision. There are some points in the game where the decision you make will have an impact on the outcome though. I could actually see the game working pretty well as a gateway game. It is far from the best game that I have ever played, but I still enjoyed playing it and could see a lot of other people liking it as well. When cards are blown up due to a TNT Card, sacrificed due to a Creeper Card or traded in when Crafting (more on all of this later), they go into the discard pile. All cards in the discard pile are placed FACE DOWN. This player has acquired 20 points in a three player game. They have acquired enough points to win the game. My Thoughts on Minecraft Card Game? Skip card – This card can only be played on a card of similar color or symbol (another Skip). When you play this card, the next player loses their turn, and play moves on to the following player, who must then match your Skip card with a card of the same color, or another Skip card. If turned up at the start of the game, the first player becomes “skipped” and loses his/her turn. The hoe is used to clear all the top resource cards, to uncover 5 new ones. This lets you use your two actions to maybe mine something good! (Tools don't use up an action.) If you desire a certain Craft Card but are unable to pay for it, you may put the card in Reserve. Take the Craft Card you want and place in a Card Holder. The card is now in reserve. Collect your exclusive Nerf World DLC here! Enter the 5x5 code in the field below and blast your way into Nerf World! When you are about to play your penultimate/second last card, you must yell “Uno” so that the others know that you are about to go out. If you don’t yell “Uno” and someone notices it and catches you before the next player plays anything, you have to draw 2 cards as a penalty. The aim of this fun, quirky card game is simple; you need to be the first to reach the points goal. The Minecraft card game can be played between 2 – 4 people, and the points goal varies depending on the number of players.
