About this deal

Red Panda’s tensor has an eye-catching design, which will immediately catch your attention. This boutique manufacturer is known for its luxurious, unusual pedals, and the Tensor is no exception to that rule. It is one of the best pitch shift plugin. 6. TC Electronic Brainwaves My Review: Electro-Harmonix is one of my all-time favorite pedal brands. Incredibly prolific, they produce effects pedals of all varieties to a very high standard. Consequently, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the Pitch Fork pedal, which is their flagship pitch shifter device. The Micro POG is a leaner and meaner version of the classic EHX Polyphonic Octave Generator, redesigned with buttons instead of the eight sliders featured on the original. It allows you to create new tones by mixing together your original dry signal with two different octaves, one above and one below your original pitch. Minimalist Design - DDP-60 is mainly simple, emphasizing the natural expression of product design and the integration with life. It 's not just a piano, but your elegant art space. The three small-sized controls across the top layer of the Pure Octave pedal are responsible for the conventional octave-shifting effect. Moreover, after analyzing the functions of the controls I discovered that you can blend the trio to essentially build your harmonies one layer at a time.

I’ve played my share of octave pedals in the past and found that most are more “novelty” pedals vs. ones I’d want to use regularly. There may be one or two “cool” tones, but the rest are usually amelodic or unusable. That’s not the case with the Donner Octave Pedal. While some settings sound better and more melodic than others, and some are more conducive for leads vs. chords, I’ve found quite a few positions that are a blast to jam on. I’m more a fan of the lower octave tones, but there is certainly a time and place for the higher octave stuff — particularly when you’re in the studio. Let me tell you — it can get weird!

List of the Best Pitch Shifter Pedals

For me, the octave-up doesn’t hold any appeal, and while the Harmonic Square is great at these sounds, it’s not a mode I’ll use that often. If you like to create unorthodox-sounding tones, you’ll love the unique effects offered by this pedal. I like how it combines pitch-shifting with harmonizer-like qualities, and it also makes a great alternative to a whammy pedal. Although the Behringer FX600 is not only a pitch-shifter pedal, it does have a pitch-shifting effect.

Boss is a brand that doesn’t need a special kind of introduction – they’ve been present on my pedalboards for decades, and they have proven to be constant in their sound quality and durable for a lifetime. The PS-6 Harmonist is, of course, no excuse. This is a straightforward pitch shifter device, which doubles up as a guitar harmonizer. It features a simple control layout, which I found to be very efficient. Once you select your chosen interval, you can then use the wet and dry controls to ensure that the pitch shifting effect blends with your clean tone.

Choosing the Right Pitch Shifter Pedal (Buying Guide)

The benefit to using a pitch shifter is that it allows you to be very precise when establishing the alterations you would like it to make to the notes you play into the device. My Review: Behringer is renowned for producing affordable pedals, which are often based on the designs of more expensive models. The US600 Ultra Shifter/Harmonizer is essentially a clone of the aforementioned BOSS Harmonizer, and it comes very close to the high standard set by that pedal. My Review: Over the past few years, relatively newly established pedal manufacturers Donner have impressed me greatly. Their range of affordable stompboxes continues to improve, and the Harmonic Square is an example of their rapid progress.

My Review: The CP-36 Big Dipper originally caught my attention due to its eccentric design, but after taking a closer look at the pedal I soon realized it has more to offer than just pleasant aesthetics. I’d describe this device as being a mixture between a traditional pitch shifter, harmonizer, and octave pedal. On the other hand, you could plug the pitch shifter pedal directly into the audio interface, effectively bypassing the need for an amplifier. This would record the clean signal from the guitar with the pitch shifter effect, and you could then use an amplifier simulation plugin to make it sound like it has been recorded through an amp. If you plan to use your harmonizer pedal as a standard component in your signal chain it’s unlikely that you’ll need multiple inputs or outputs. However, if you want to use the pedal to split your signal you’ll need more than one output to facilitate this. The Harmonist has four knobs – Balance(Wet/Dry), Shift(Harmony), Fall Time/Key, and a Mode selector switch. The versatility of this pedal comes from the fact that it has four modes: S-Bend, Detune, Pitch-Shifter, and Harmony (Major/Minor). True bypass harmonizer pedals ensure that there is no loss of signal strength even when the device is turned off. They do this by allowing the signal to flow freely through the inner circuitry of the pedal, and are most effective when cable runs which span less than 18.5 ft are being used.

Durable Guitar Pedal -Case is made of Aluminum-alloy and is classic, stable and strong. LED indicator shows the working state. The Marshmallow pitch-shifter by Alexander Pedals will strike an interest in many guitar players just by taking a glance – it has an exciting graphic design. However, the thing that will make them buy it is, of course, the fact that this pedal is one versatile beast.

Firstly, perhaps the most obvious way to record your pitch shifter pedal is to follow the same blueprint you use for live shows. Simply plug the pedal into your amplifier, place a microphone in front of the cab, and connect an XLR cable to the input on an audio interface or mixer. This is especially useful if you’re in a three-piece band and need to add more treble into the mix. The strings of a bass guitar are tuned to an octave lower than an electric guitar, so it’s unlikely to you’d use the pedal to shift down in pitch. However, for shifting upwards, these pedals work very well. Who Is This Best Suited For: Guitarists who are looking for a bargain pitch shifter pedal should strongly consider this compact Hotone device. It may be much smaller and more affordable than most pedals in its field, but this stompbox is very capable indeed. Thirdly, you could rely on batteries to power your pitch shifter and other pedals. This is useful in some situations, such as when you don’t have access to nearby mains power, or you’re playing an unexpected gig. Nevertheless, using batteries as the sole source of power means that your un the risk of them going flat midway through a performance, which could be disastrous. The absolute favorite of many guitarists who are into pitch-shifting, the Pitch Fork by Electro Harmonix is one of the best on the market.

Build Quality: 9/10

Tone Modes - Sharp, Flat, and Detune. Sharp: Pitch up. Detune: Adjustable pitch signal shifted by 10 cents. Flat: Pitch down. My Review: Eventide has built a reputation as one of the leading producers of digital effects units, so I was very excited to test their H9 Max Harmonizer and to see how it compares to their other exceptional offerings. Donner is a fairly new entrance to the market yet offers some exciting guitar effect pedals and musical instruments in general. If you want a snarling fuzz beast that adds another dimension to your riff with the Octave Up is engaged, look no further than the JOYO JF-12 Vodoo Octave Fuzz. This is a versatile pedal that was made for those that prefer a more vintage sound but that can be used in modern settings as well. Features
