I very much disliked Raven in the previous book but I still wished her the best in this book , the male main character was an absolute dipshit that made me gag everytime he opened his mouth . I turned around, I took a deep breath and reluctantly pressed onto the bell. The doors opened a few moments later, and there she was. Her face lit up within seconds. When her sister doesn’t show up on her wedding day, Raven has no choice but to take her place, but marrying Ares Windsor is torture. The thing that upset me a lot when this book came out was being lied to by the author. In an fb group, someone asked if there was owd and she said no… 😐 The title peeked my curiosity and although I was a little hesitant not knowing anything about writer Catharina Maura and her books, it was narrator extraordinaire Sebastian York that really drew me all the way in,

Where do I even start? I loved many parts of this book but similarly I was irritated/rankled by some of the things. Am I the only one who saw that the sister was a narcissist from like chapter 2? How did everyone else miss that? If she is really that great an actress why isn’t she winning more awards? 😂 It was one of those story’s that fortunately captured the romantic in me… it was cute, with a good story. Plus Angsty-aaannnndddd … I forgot to mention; very sexy indeed (smiling) 🥰 But it got a lot better. Thenit got absolutely horrible. Then it delivered a solid HEA. You have to read this one to understand how that plays out sinceit's 50% yearning, 25% cruelty/manipulation and 25% sex. The only thing worth clarifying in a review is the setup.Heat level: Good. They have some good tension, chemistry, and scenes -- but not so much it takes away from the story. I can’t tell you about the whole story as it will spoil your fun. Although the storyline was a little repetitive in my opinion, I could see where the writer was coming from in regards to Raven and her insecurities. Ares putting up with Hannah's antics and indiscretions, yet he still wanted to marry her was very frustrating. Throughout, he's true feelings for Raven were evident and couldn't be denied. The last few chapters were gripping and the reason why my headphones were glued onto my head until the early hours of the morning. Sleep...who needs it, right?

Also immediately after they got married, Things were a mess. They would say one thing but do another and think another. Both of them got confused and then they started confusing ME! Like authors please if you can't write the "it's always been you " trope correctly don't freaking write it at all you are ruining it , especially this author because she did it in Bittersweet Memories as well and ruined it there too Push/Pull: Yes the h pushes away a good bit and I'd say the H is the main pursuer of the relationship But Grandma Winsor is tired of her shit, so she is like, the wedding will take place even if you don’t come. They all expected Hannah to come on the wedding day, but they were all mistaken. She doesn’t come, and then Raven and Ares have to get married.
