It does smell suuuper sweet but not as in a room filled with candy kinda sweet, I can’t really explain it but a very nice kind of sweet. I get zero licorice or really any of the other notes and on me at least it sits really close to the skin and remained pretty linear throughout after the lemon cleaner smell left.

If I wear either of the formerly mentioned, I spray it in the morning and quickly become anosmic to them but will get compliments all day. It was a rewarding endeavor to source this fragrance, and I eagerly anticipate the aromatic journey it will unfold. If you are spraying your hand and putting your nose into it it's obvious you will get oud - not fake oud accord constructed from musk/woods/patchouli, but a real OUD. Its luxurious and sophisticated character makes it a standout choice for those seeking an olfactory journey that is both opulent and memorable. I blind bought and within minutes after trying it I spent the money and bought another full bottle just in case it discontinued anytime soon.I’m not sure if other people can smell it long after it’s been applied, but when I spray it on myself it doesn’t last long (or I go noseblind). As Photo concluded with base notes of Oakmoss, Benzoin, Musk, Sandalwood, Patchouli, Amber, Guaiac Wood, Cedar, and Tonka Bean, the warm and grounding finale felt milder compared to the robust base of Christopher DiCas Le Parfum. It’s almost February now, 2024, I have been TRYING to fall in love with Dark Kiss, but, *sigh* it smells so much simpler than what the notes evoke.

As it dries down, its similarity to Vanilla Vibes starts to show, but the vanilla in this is of higher quality imo and I still vastly prefer this. In reflection, the notion of Photo being similar to Christopher DiCas intrigued me enough to make a purchase. It pairs wonderfully with the smells of coffee in the air and fresh baked goods as opposed to other perfumes I have that might clash. It seems like such a simple fragrance, but there is something alluring and calming that makes it so much more.
