About this deal

Acheulean tools were produced during the Lower Palaeolithic era across Africa and much of West Asia, South Asia, East Asia and Europe, first developed about 1.76 million years ago and derived from the more primitive Oldowan technology associated with Homo habilis. Knowing this, you might question how this place, in the middle of Africa, could flood. The reality is the world around us is quite unpredictable. For example, The National Science Foundation describes that between 50-100 million years ago, there was a waterway that ran south from the Mediterranean, through the Sahara, connecting to the Atlantic (NSF, 2019). Known as the Trans-Saharan seaway, it is important to note that even though this event far proceeds the demise of Atlantis, a massive amount of water is surely capable of traversing northern Africa.

He remembers there being a single pyramid on the plateau during his lifetime in Khem, a colony of Atlantis around 12,000 years ago. It was the Sirian people, he says, who passed on their knowledge of how to construct and use the pyramids for connecting with the source of creation.

Novela argues that the mountains to the north are hardly an amazing match, and that since the Richat is in the Sahara, there is desert sand where there aren’t mountains, but they are not plains, nor they are surrounded. The canal that runs through all the walls to the inner structure and connects the rings, according to Plato. Source One of the things I’ve found with people reading this book is that different people find themselves sympathizing with different theories. I have four main theories, and I talk to the people behind the theories and visit the locations. Abdeina, E. H., Bazin, S., Chazot, G., Bertrand, H., Le Gall, B., Youbi, N., Sabar, M. a b Monod, T. (1975). "Three Pebble Deposits in the Mauritanian Adrar (Western Sahara)". Provence Historique. 99: 87–97. The geographic distribution of Acheulean tools – and thus the peoples who made them – is often interpreted as being the result of palaeo-climatic and ecological factors, such as glaciation and the desertification of the Sahara Desert. Plato said, “There were alternate zones of sea and land, larger and shallower, encircling one another. There were two of land and three of water, which were turned as if with a lathe each having its circumference equidistant every way from the center.” Before adding one last pseudo-scientific piece of evidence to this argument it is important to note a quote from the great Travis Scott, “Seeing is believing”. I would largely agree with that sentiment. If there was such an event that happened, I would expect some sort of evidence I could physically see instead of relying on some old man’s book. However, using NASA’s WorldView imagery over the Sahara, you could make out striations that are consistent with erosions that cut across the region ( Figure 3 ). These erosion patterns are also consistent with the topographical map of the Sahara, following the regions with the lowest elevation. So all these, themselves and their descendants, dwelt for many generations, bearing rule over many other islands throughout the sea, and holding sway besides, as was previously stated, over the Mediterranean peoples as far as Aigyptos (Egypt) and Tyrrhenia [in Italy]."In the case of Morocco, a German computer expert, Michael Hübner, became obsessed with “Timaeus” and “Critias” because he’s mathematically inclined. He set up what’s called a Hierarchical Constraint Satisfaction and looked at every one of Plato’s clues in “Timaeus” and “Critias.” He weighted them and came up with an area on the map that was within 3,000 miles (4,828 kilometers) of Athens, Greece. Kimberlite (≈ 99 Ma): Kimberlites form several highly altered sills, one non-outcropping plug, and dikes on the northern part of the structure.

One of these features is Mount Atlas, and one of these peoples is the tribe of the Atlantes (= the people of Mount Atlas). But Herodotos never mentions any place called Atlantis. Herodotos’ map in fact wasn’t drawn by Herodotos. These stark claims have helped the series reach the top of viewing lists on both sides of the Atlantic, to the chagrin of archaeologists who, for their part, have denounced Ancient Apocalypse on the grounds that it provides little evidence to support its grandiose claims and for promoting conspiracy theories dressed up as science. Well, the Richat Structure is indeed the location of exceptional accumulations of Acheulean artifacts – stone tools characterized by distinctive oval and pear-shaped “hand-axes” associated with Homo erectus, as well as derived species such as Homo heidelbergensis. But Acheulean technologies first developed about 1.76 million years ago, and although their disappearance is not well defined, they could have lasted until about 130,000 years ago (much earlier than the proposed time of Atlantis’ existence about 12,000 years ago). Jimmy claims that an event that lasted 1,200 years “precisely” matched an event that was supposed to have happened in one day 100 years after the Younger Dryas ended. Also – there is no reason to think that the Younger Dryas affected the equatorial regions (the Richat structure is at 21 deg latitude). So really, it was in the wrong place and the wrong time for the Younger Dryas to be significant. This is a forced fit that is not compelling at all, but Jimmy thinks it is too amazing a coincidence not to be evidence.

Robertson, E. (2014, July 7). Eye of the Sahara. EGU Blogs. https://blogs.egu.eu/network/bar/tag/eye-of-the-sahara/As Smith discusses in the opening article in this theme issue, the lost island-continent was – in all likelihood – entirely Plato's invention for the purposes of illustrating arguments around Grecian polity. Archaeologists broadly agree with the view that Atlantis is quite simply 'utopia' (Doumas, 2007), a stance also taken by classical philologists, who interpret Atlantis as a metaphorical rather than an actual place (Broadie, 2013; Gill, 1979; Nesselrath, 2002). One might consider the question as being already reasonably solved but despite the general expert consensus on the matter, countless attempts have been made at finding Atlantis." ( Dawson & Hayward, 2016) It is also significant that there is absolutely no evidence of a city in the Richat structure 12,000 years ago. Plato wrote about an advanced large city. Where is the archaeological evidence of the civilization that built Atlantis? Where are the remains of a city’s worth of artifacts, of the technology, even a shard of clay pot, something? There is no evidence of engineering, of actual walls, of any improvements to the natural structure. You simply cannot have an entire city and leave nothing behind. The video follows a familiar format – gather together lots of circumstantial evidence, exaggerate its significance and specificity, ignore anything that doesn’t fit, ignore all genuine scholarship, and create the impression that you’re onto something. Essentially – blow a lot of smoke to convince the naive that there’s a fire. There have been thousands of artifacts found in and around the Richat Structure. Most are 12,000 years and older, which puts them in the time frame of Atlantis. These items include arrowheads, spears, stone spheres, surfboards, oars, ship hulls, and more.
