This lawnmower will cut the grass, however keep in mind that it's small and you need to regularly cut the grass for it to do the job or you'll have to go really slow (or twice if you want to cut it in the middle setting) so it won't choke and leave blobs of grass behind. For this reason, the Bosch has also been awarded the "Blue Angel" environmental seal. According to the environmental experts, it is distinguished by reduced noise emissions, lower exhaust emissions, the avoidance of pollutants, and general benefits for the environment and health.
It also doesn't do any mulching, though you can use it on really tall grass perfectly fine if you use the top part of the box without the bottom to cut it, then a grass fork to collect the tall grass or just go over it again but with the grass box assembled. For the price it's alright, but you can notice it. The plastic grass collector box for example, while fine and I'm confident it'll keep for a few years (not as worried as other reviewers here) as it won't have to deal with a lot of grass weight, however it was slightly deformed out of the box. it'll still assemble fine but it's something that just points to this being a cheap lawnmower. OK, so let’s jump in and get you on the road to spending your hard earned cash on an electric mower that will provide you with many years of service and ensure that you always have a great looking lawn with the minimal amount of work. There's the main body of the mower. The grass box and the handle are inside. You will have to assemble these. There are small parts in plastic bags that have to be cut open. There's a guide and instructions in English and Mandarin. There's no instruction on how to put it together bit by bit though. The lawnmower assembly it self is so simple you don't even need the instructions, there are not many parts and it's quite obvious where all the parts should go. I like that I could install the handle a bit higher as being tall due to the 2 holes in the pole.Look at the picture on the front of the booklet and see how the handle goes on there. From that point, you can work it out pretty easily. There are bits that need screwing. Some screws are in holders that will come undone, and do up again when put through the right hole. Screwdriver not included so have one to hand. COMPACT STORAGE: Folding handles give a compact footprint, and a central carry handle makes it easy to move the mower in and out of tight spaces in the garage or shed. The 40L collapsible Redi-bag stores neatly on top of the mower.
I've now stored the machine upright with a bit of pressure to deform the plastic away from the blade. The grass box is in two parts which slot together. This is irksome. It takes a bit to get them all to slot in at the right time, but even nearly all will work fine. If you can put it together first. The box is surprisingly smaller than you might think. Reasons. It has to be cut open along the top to get rid of the sealing tape, and then there's actual seals which need to be either cut or tugged apart. The latter with some effort. PERFECT FOR MEDIUM LAWNS: 37cm cutting width and 10m power cable makes this mower perfect for cutting medium lawns.

The handle ends up with the on switch being on the left, which takes a bit of getting used to if you're right handed. But you don't need to hold the button down. Press it and it will keep mowing. Till pressed again. Which is a nice development in these things.
MULCHING FUNCTION: choose from two ways to dispose of grass clippings. Collect in the 40L Redi-bag (TM) for green waste disposal, or use the supplied mulch plug to finely cut the clippings and return to the lawn to act as a nutrient. First 2 times I used it I set it on the highest setting and it was doing fine, though had to mentally adjust to it being a relatively small lawnmower (coming from years of petrol lawnmower that was probably 1.7x as wide). With a weight of only 6.6 kg, the unit is also particularly light, which is why the trade magazine Heimwerker Praxis in its 3/2004 issue sometimes asks for a little more weight on the wheels for better steering control. Overall, however, the lawnmower with 1.6 HP performance was convincing, especially in terms of the price-performance ratio, and was given an overall grade of 1.8. The specialist magazine Selbst ist der Mann (i.e., Self is the Man) found the mowing performance good in issue 5/2011. Unfortunately, however, when emptying the 31-litre catcher bag, grass fell beside it. Verdict Considering this is the cheapest mower I could find on here, it's more than value for money. Because it does a very good cut. So it's good. And it's worth getting through the hurdles outlined above. Another slight downside (or upside) the machine isn't heavy, infect it's so light it barely leaves a mark on the grass to use as a guiding line to keep only use 30-40% of the machine with.
