Cosmos Centre , Abbey Walk St Andrews KY16 9LB

The Cosmos Community Centre is a voluntary organisation established in 1971 to support community education and provide facilities for recreation and leisure. It is open to people of all ages in St Andrews and the surrounding area. The Centre runs a very full programme of activities and services. The After School CLub, established in 1998, provides a caring, stimulating and secure environment for primary school children between 3pm and 6pm daily during term time, as well as a lively and varied programme from 8am to 6pm during most of the school holidays and In-Service days.   We have various sports activities - Scorpions Roller Hockey, Karate, Badminton, football and Special Needs Basketball. The Stroke Club is very popular and meets every Monday. The Centre also hosts Adult Education groups and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). Another arm of the community service that the Cosmos Centre provides is adult education. Adam Smith College owns and operates from three classrooms to the rear of the main building. The facility is called College@Cosmos. In partnership with other education providers in the area, the COllege delivers mainly daytime classes in a range of subjects.
