Club Overview

Fife Shotokan Karate Club Logo

Karate is open to anyone over the age of six. You do not need to be fit to start training – you will become fit by taking part!

Our aim is for all our members to enjoy their training – whether they wish to train for the pure enjoyment, compete or face the challenge of progressing through the grading system. Anyone can try karate, irrespective of age and ability. We would encourage anyone to give it a try and we understand that it is not everyone’s cup of tea.

Karate will develop not only your fitness, but your co-ordination, speed, strength, flexibility and also increase your self-confidence and determination. Whilst karate is predominantly striking based, you will also be trained in throwing and grappling techniques, together with locks and chokes. Training is open to new and existing students alike.
