Freecycle exists to keep 'stuff' out of landfill and to build communities: it connects people who have 'stuff' they want to give away with people who can use that same 'stuff'. It's an online group; local people (anyone living in the area from Ballingry to North Queensferry and from Aberdour to Kincardine) can join up, and then post ads: either an OFFER (for goods they no longer require), or a WANTED (for things they'd like). There are few rules - the main ones being that everything must be free, legal and suitable for all ages - and it's run entirely by local volunteers. West-Fife-freecycle is one of many Freecycle groups world-wide, whose members have all joined to give and receive free unwanted items in their immediate communities. Local charities and non-profit groups are encouraged to join.
