The Scottish branch of the Elgar Society, part of the Elgar Society of Great Britain, exists to promote knowledge of the life and music of Sir Edward Elgar, arguably britain's greatest composer. Membership is £30 annually, (2 members at the same address £35) and for this members get the Elgar News and Elgar Journal 3 times a year, plus all branch newspapers and six branch meetings per year. The meetings are open to guests and members of the public. The meetings are held in a relaxed atmosphere and high quality speakers and live music are order of the day.
