Competition in Ireland.

Kirkcaldy and District Pipeband has existed for 30 Years (in various name changes) and is an active Grade 3 Pipeband. We Practice in Balwearie High School twice a week and all keen learners or experienced, pipers and drummer, are welcome. There is no specific charge to take part at the practices other than a very active fundraising committee which is much needed to pay for equipment and travel costs. Feel free to visit one of the practices!!!

Learn to play the Bagpipes, Side Drum, Tennor Drum or Bass and take part in competitions!!!
 

Celebration after winning Champions of Champions at Cowal Games 2006

Short term History of the Band:

  • 2012

Pipeband took part in the 50 years twin town celebrations between Kirkcaldy and Ingolstadt by travelling to Ingolstadt in Oct/2012 and performing at various events.

  • 2007
    Took part as a Grade 4A band in Competitions and promoted to Grade 3 after a successful season.
  • 2006
    Took part as a Grade 4B band in Competitions and due to a very successful season were awarded Champions of Champions for Grade 4B and Promoted to Grade 4A at the end of the season.
  • 2005
    Took part in competitions as a Grade 4B band.
