Cupar Djembe Workshop provides people in Fife with the opportunity to learn traditional West African drum rhythms. West African drumming is an accessible, enjoyable, stress-reducing and energising group activity that can improve your musical skills and bring participants an understanding of the richness of African culture.

We meet every other Saturday at the Cupar Djembe Workshop at the YMCA, Bonnygate, Cupar, Fife New members to the workshop are always welcome, and we have spare djembes for beginners. First session is free, thereafter £11 for 2 hours group tuition, plus £1drum hire. Drum tutor is Steve Haden. More details at

Members of Cupar Djembe Workshop perform as 'BeatRoot'. and are available to play at community arts events, galas, clubs, and can host workshop-style events during weekends and evenings.
