Scottish Church Heritage Research (SCHR) is a voluntary body, registered as a Charity and a limited Company. We promote recording of places of worship of all faiths in Scotland for the benefit of all. We work with local groups to share information about the buildings of all faiths, and we run several Events , give talks, organise outings to places of worship and more.

We now have membership, so that people can participate in Events, etc.

SCHR is an active member of the Fife Interfaith Group. We are involved with a variety of local groups.

At present our main work is the development of an illustrated web site, with descriptions and images of all buildings of religion. To do this we work with interested volunteers and with unemployed individuals, who help to create the records and add them to the web site.

We are now able to work with teachers to assist with projects they wish to develop.

Meeting Place

The committee meets in Edinburgh. The AGM is held in an area where we are working.

Date: Quarterly, January, March, June, September, (AGM), usually on the 3rd Thursday of the month, mornings
