The Torque pants have been a favourite in the UOG office for some years and with the small changes introduced we see them staying up there as our ‘go anywhere, do anything’ outdoor/climbing pant. The Rab Torque pants have had a few small changes for 2020 along with a new colour palette. These include a logo rework which is now reflective & a lower profile pull on the fly zipper. Highly weather-resistant, warm, comfortable and tough, the Torque Pants are perfectly suited to life in the mountains when the temperature drops. Rab's Matrix softshell fabric perfectly balances comfort, stretchiness and durability.Rab Torque Mountain Pants Review - “Apart from winter conditions, these are my current favourite hiking pants.” Reinforcements are found on the knee, which then runs to the inside of your ankle to protect the fabric from boot scuffs. There is also a more breathable fabric found behind the knee to help vent the trousers that little bit better. There is also a zip closure at the cuff and two webbing loops for under boot attachment. Torque Pants are available in a range of colours form sober to high-vis. I'm not a massive fan of the two-tone effect that a lot of mountain trousers seem to adopt, but I know others like it. The 'beluga' colour scheme of the pair pictured in this review is probably the least eye catching (for better or worse) in that regard.
