Becoming Alpha is the first in the amazing new werewolf series by Aileen Erin, and just happens to be one of the first books I've read with the main character being a werewolf, except the Shiver series. That's probably why she tries so hard to fit in with a clique that has nothing to do with her interests and due to peer pressure decides to drink a shot of tequila at a party (P. His Bob Lee Swagger series took the world by storm in the 90s, and he has a new collection of novellas this month featuring Bob Lee, Earl and Charles. Tessa I loved her she doesn't take crap from anybody, not the school she's sent to, not her parent, and especially not Dastien, "well guess what. If you like Twilight with the melodrama and the romance and the stalking amped up to the nth degree, you will love this book.Usually when I got one from physical contact with another person, I saw the last thing that affected them emotionally. Her brother who is also her best friend is about to go off to college so her parents announce that they are moving to Texas. Her technical prowess is beyond any reasonable doubt while her aptitude of creating a novel that is exhaustively intoxicating is something to be admired. For the most part, she came off as advertised–a loner who used sarcasm as a shield and a girl overwhelmed with her emerging powers. The writing is fresh and relevant, and though the plot has been done before in one form or another, it’s still very entertaining.
